The Disavow Tool is a tool you can use to report harmful links or links that are not recognized by your website to the Google search engine. So why do we need to Disavow Tool? The term, which is also known as “Geri Bağlantıları Reddetme Aracı” in Turkish, is used to block harmful backlinks.

There are unethical SEO methods that are harmful to each other or unilaterally applied by people or companies doing SEO work, while doing SEO work on words with high search volume. There are many tools available where you can view and manage these activities. Disavow Tool, SEMRush are some of them. With the help of these tools, you can manage your maliciously used backlinks and easily manage all the links that you do not want to be associated with your site.

Before using the Disavow Tool, you should first determine whether you want to disavow the links you want to disavow as URL or Domain. You can then collect these links that you want to remove in a .txt text file and then enter the Backlinks Reject tool on the Search Console and upload the text file you created.

The URLs you have uploaded will be removed and disavowed within 1-2 weeks. Google will send you an email notifying you of the change and it will take a few weeks for Google to crawl your site for the changes to take effect. That’s all there is to it!

The most important thing to consider when using Disavow Tool is to decide whether the link you are disavowing is really of poor quality or not. If you reject a quality link, thinking it is a poor quality backlink, you may lose rankings.
